Wastewater treatment

In 2013, Disneyland Paris became the first theme park in Europe to install its own wastewater treatment plant.

The plant collects up to 3,500 m3 of wastewater per day from the two Disney Parks, purifies and treats it to produce clean, quality water used to clean the roads, irrigate flowerbeds and feed our ponds.

Materials, waste management and circular economy

By reducing the amount of waste we produce and recycling it, we aim to reduce the loss of biodiversity, pollution and greenhouse gases.

We have developed a number of more circular economy collaborations to offer you new and innovative solutions.

Costume recycling

To minimize our environmental footprint, we have implemented a recycling policy to reuse the fabrics of worn and damaged costumes to give them a second life. Recycling bins have been set up backstage to send the costumes to local ESATs (Etablissement et Service d’Aide par le Travail), where they are then transformed into insulating felt.

Europe's largest solar canopy plant

The Guest Car Park is home to Europe's largest solar canopy plant. Developed in partnership with the French company Urbasolar, the solar canopy power plant produces around 36GWh per year - enough to power a town of 17,400 inhabitants! It reduces CO2 emissions by 890 tonnes a year in the Val d'Europe area.

Promoting travel with a limited environmental impact

Making public transportation more accessible with our Official Partner, SNCF Connect

Thanks to our partnership with SNCF Connect, we promote the use of transportation methods with a limited environmental impact. Taking the train in France, for example, reduces CO2e emissions by an average of 90%* compared to an equivalent journey by car or plane. Visitors can easily plan their trip to Disneyland Paris by train or public transport in just a few clicks, directly on our website!

How nature comes to life at our Disney Hotels

The 245 m² vegetable garden at Disney Hotel Cheyenne grows many varieties of organic vegetables, fruit and herbs that may end up on your plate if you are a Guest there.

Both Disney Hotel Cheyenne and Disney Davy Crockett Ranch offer a nature trail where you can discover the rose and vegetable gardens, flower meadows, the heritage orchard and an apiary!

Eco-grazing

We practice eco-grazing in our backstage areas and at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch. Every year, 5 to 7 hectares of land are grazed by a French breed of sheep.
